Hand-picked on September 22, 2023 from Leland Vineyard in Oregon City, Oregon. This Willamette Valley site was planted to Wadenswil and Pommard in 1982. The vines are dry farmed and own rooted. After the fruit was hauled to Woodinville, we selected the prettiest clusters to be my 12% whole cluster component and destemmed on top. Daily punchdowns for 10 days, the free run and press wine were combined, settled in tank over night and then racked to 7 neutral French oak barrels and 2 once used French oak barrels. Malo occured in barrel and then the wine was aged for 18 months before bottling unfiltered in Spring of 2025.

This is big and juicy Oregon Pinot, offering loads of black tea and exotic spices alongside heady red and dark fruits. Deftly textured, with good acidity, enjoy now and over the next ten years.
