Condiments that make life worth living: Karam's Garlic Sauce
The Germano family has taught me a lot about food, but I am especially thankful that they taught me about this Lebanese garlic sauce that literally makes every thing better. www.garlicsauce.com
Karam’s Garlic Sauce is made here in Seattle and on the “how to use it” page on their website they claim “The possibilities are endless. Here's to your new taste adventure and to your health! Enjoy the journey!” Yo pass me some of that unbridled optimism! The spirit of future possibilities! Cheers to allium!!!! It has more than a little of a Dr. Bronner’s vibe, but like there are worse things, you guys.
Apparently it is possible to make your own Lebanese style garlic sauce at home (https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2018/01/toum.html) but why would you when it is so delicious and available here.
It’s a secret weapon for elevated salad dressings and I love it with Sam Sifton’s Shawarma. So good. Tonight I enjoyed it on a salad of raw brussels sprouts shaved on the food processor with potato peeler shaved carrot, potato peeler shaved parmesan, lemon and olive oil. You’re welcome.
